2021 West Virginia State Fair

On August 21st, 2021, we made our way to Lewisburg for the State Fair of West Virginia. It was a cool summer day with just a kiss of fall in the air, perfect for food, shows, rides and seeing the best of what West Virginia has to offer.

While the very first WV State Fair took place in Wheeling in 1881, it was the Lewisburg event – that had started before West Virginia was even a state – that would eventually become officially recognized as the State Fair. Today it features rides, competitive exhibitions by farmers, 4-H and FFA members, exhibitions by manufacturers of farm machinery and industrial tools, and live concerts.

This year included a Lumberjack Show that the boys really enjoyed. They also enjoyed seeing all the animals and, of course, riding the rides!
