For the second time in six months, a national television media outlet spotlighted some of the best things West Virginia has to offer.

Good Morning America made the trip to the Mountain State as part of its "Rise and Shine" series, where the show visits all 50 states.

The nearly four-minute long segment explores the country's newest national park, New River Gorge National Park and Preserve.

The ABC morning show also highlighted the Pride of West Virginia, the Mountaineer Marching Band, and interviewed WVU President Gordon Gee, a former Mountaineer Media Podcast guest.

You can watch the ABC story below.

You might remember CBS This Morning also visited our great home back in late May and spotlighted the new national park.

Although West Virginia often makes national headlines for the wrong reasons, these stories remind us all of the beautiful place we're lucky to call home.
