New WV travel journal released by local teacher Kacy Harmon

“My West Virginia Adventure Journal” is a recently released travel journal by a young West Virginia teacher, Kacy Harmon, out of Berkeley county. Kacy spent over a year creating, writing, and publishing it to spread her love and passion for traveling around and living in the mountain state. It’s a very engaging journal for kids and adults to log their travels through all 55 counties.

“As a teacher, I love a good activity to go along with an engaging lesson! I felt the same way about kids exploring the state--there needed to be an activity for them to complete with their families about their travels! A way to sit down, reflect and bond over the memories that they are making. “My West Virginia Adventure Journal” keeps track of all their thoughts and experiences while in each of the 55 counties. The journal includes pages to log the weather, activities, food, accommodations, and more! They can jot down their favorite memories while in each county as well as insert photos or add illustrations!” Kacy says.

Each of the state’s 55 counties has 2 full pages of activities, unique locations, and details about the surrounding area. They include some of the more well-known stops in West Virginia but include a whole lot of hidden gems as well!

When their journal is complete, they will have a wonderful keepsake to show off about their journeys all across the great state of West Virginia. It will help bring awareness and appreciation to our beloved state while also encouraging people to get out and explore the often-overlooked places across the state. “My West Virginia Adventure Journal” makes a perfect gift for any mountaineer and every occasion.
