Vantage Ventures Exec. Director commits to AHC keynote panel discussion

Sarah Biller will sit alongside Brad D. Smith during Friday night’s networking keynote discussion

CHARLESTON, WV — Investing in West Virginia’s future is the theme of this year’s Almost Heaven Classic keynote, and our latest speaker is someone who’s doing that everyday.

We’re thrilled to announce Sarah Biller as the second addition to the Classic’s keynote panel discussion, which is scheduled for Friday, June 9th, 2023 at Canaan Valley Resort.

Biller is currently the Executive Director of Vantage Ventures, where she connects investors with entrepreneurs to launch high impact, scalable businesses that tackle complex challenges.

The Morgantown-based initiative is part of the John Chambers School of Business and Economics at West Virginia University.

"Just as it has been for the last 160 years, West Virginia's new economy is being built by people who refuse to stand still,” Biller said. “We have long been a state of dreamers and doers, and this legacy is central to the growth we are now experiencing in capital investments into the state, new start-up companies, and interest in our next generation of talent. I'm looking forward to a rich discussion on how we leverage the momentum to make a lasting impact on the state."

Biller is also the co-Founder of FinTech Sandbox, a Boston-based non-profit which provides entrepreneurs access to high-quality financial data sets, and Capital Market Exchange, a predictive analytics platform for institutional bond investors.

Biller will join Marshall University President Brad D. Smith on stage for a keynote panel discussion and live episode of the Mountaineer Media Podcast. The two will share their thoughts on the future West Virginia. President Smith announced his commitment to the AHC last September.

The 2023 Almost Heaven Classic will be our flagship annual gathering of passionate Mountaineers who want to see this state prosper.

The Wild & Wonderful weekend starts with our Friday night networking event featuring the live panel discussion, as well as music, hor d'oeuvres, drinks, West Virginia merchandise and engaging conversations.

Saturday, the Almost Heaven Classic golf outing tees off in the morning with the winner taking home the Almost Heaven Classic Jacket, similar to a jacket won at The Masters.

There will also be plenty of giveaways, including a TaylorMade driver, WV-themed Scotty Cameron putter, and a shot at $10,000 for a hole-in-one competition.

Registration for the conference and golf tournament is now open and can be completed HERE.
